Spiritual Disciplines of the Christian Life by Donald Whitney - A modern day classic that lays out spiritual activities that will bring about growth and holiness. Trusting God by Jerry Bridges - Another modern day classic that can help you learn to trust God even in adversity. This book will help you understand that God is completely sovereign, infinitely wise and perfectly loving. Desiring God by John Piper - God wants us to be happy but with a happiness rooted in Him and not in things. This is a serious book about being happy in God. The chief end of man is to glorify God AND enjoy him forever. This book will help you enjoy him. Forgotten Factors by Roy Hession - Many people come to Christ with the baggage of sexual sin. This book will help you search your past for a more complete repentance from these sins. Calvary Road by Roy Hession - A helpful book for bringing about and continuing personal revival and closeness to God. Victory Over Darkness by Neil Anderson - A helpful reminder of our identity in Christ now that we are united with him.
