| History
Lincoln Christian Fellowship came into being in 1985 when the Cranston Christian Fellowship commissioned Church Planter Dick Scoggins, and Deacon Jim Frost of Cumberland to begin a new church in northern RI. Before the church planters moved on, they instilled in us the value of team leadership and oversight, as well as “every-member ministry”. We met in rented school buildings, church and fire halls, and members’ homes. The new church matured in the late 80’s, buying a meeting facility of our own in 1991. Since then our community of faith has grown from about 60 souls to over 100. Our desire for 15 years has been to Glorify God by showing His love, building up believers, and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Important values to us are…
- maturing spiritually and growing personally
- living out our faith in our immediate family and in a close Christian community
- focusing on simple New Testament church life
- reproducing the kingdom as rapidly and as thoroughly as possible in this part of Rhode Island and Massachusetts
Perhaps God is calling you to join us! Would you ask Him?
