| Beliefs
Though we fellowship with many types of evangelical Christians, New Covenant Christian Fellowship does have certain beliefs, practices and distinctives that we emphasize. We place on ourselves two labels: evangelical and New Testament. Evangelical comes from the Greek word for good news. We believe the Bible teaches the bad news that all men and women are under God's just condemnation because of their sin. The good news is that Jesus came to take away that condemnation by dying as a substitute. Whoever believes in him will not perish. By New Testament, we are stating that we look to the New Testament first for how a church should operate. Our desire is not to ask what a denomination does but what does the New Testament teach we should do. In this area, we are different than many other Evangelical churches. |
